Judith "Judi" Dummitt, age 61 of Marion entered Heaven on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Riverside Hospital. She was born on May 29, 1956 to the late Darlene (Pearl) Heimlich and Kenneth (Marlene) Heimlich who survives in Cardington.
Judi was a 1974 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. She worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Kerry Stein at Marion Endodontics. Above all else Judi cherished spending time with her loved ones. Judi adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed supporting them at every event they participated in. She loved to camp and craft. Judi loved traveling to Key West and Lake Cumberland. The only regret she left with was that she was taken too soon.
On April 23, 1983, Judi married Jeff Dummitt at St. John Windfall Church in Cardington. The love of her life, Jeff survives in Marion. They had a love between them and for their family that was remarkable.
In addition to her husband, father and step-mother, Judi is survived by three children; Shannon (Kenny) Herndon of Westerville, Kirk (Tiffany) Wade of Marion, and Kyla Kauffman of Marion; four siblings; Lynn (Rebecca) Heimlich of Versailles, KY., Connie (Tom) Tennant of Cardington, Ronda (Lynn Tuggle) Heimlich of Cardington, and Leeann (Joe) Teynor of Bucyrus; seven grandchildren, McKenna, Austin, Kevin, Kyle, Maddox, Mac and Cole; one great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs Lola and Bode.
In addition to her mother, Judi was preceded in death by her first husband Kim Wade.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The celebration of Judi's life will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at St. John Windfall; 5070 Newmans Cardington Rd E, Cardington, OH 4331, at 11:00 am with Pastor Adam Sornchai officiating. A private burial will take place in the Windfall Cemetery at a later date.
