Iva Jean Rupert

Iva Jean Bond Rupert went to be with our Lord in the early morning hours of October 5, 2015. Born April 2, 1930 to the late Charles and Mabel (Casto) Bond, she was the oldest of 4 children. Jean graduated from Cardington High School in 1948. She had worked at Stones Drug Store in Cardington and the former North Electric Company in Mt. Gilead and Galion. She moved to Jonesborough, TN in 1977 with the former I.T.T. Company where she later retired. Her faith in her Lord never wavering, she enjoyed working at her church on many different tasks. She also enjoyed calligraphy and hand printing ceramics, wooden objects and many other things. Jean is survived by her son, Warren (Kristy) Davis of rural Morrow County, daughter, Lana Jean (Butch) Nicholal of Knoxville, TN; brother, Roger Bond of Galion; 2 grandsons, Clayton Davis of Ravenna and Nick Davis of Mt. Gilead and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ruth Rizor and Doris Kochhleiser. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Glendale Union Cemetery located in Cardington for family and friends. A memorial was held in Jonesborough, TN at the East Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
