Iadell Beam Obituary

Iadell went home to be with the Lord and her husband on December 21, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born on August 4, 1935, in Cardington

Iadell has lived her whole life in Cardington, Ohio. As a student at Cardington, she worked in the kitchen. She then worked for a short time at the Cardington Hotel. After high school, she went to beautician school. She then married Willard Beam. They were happily married for over 50 years. They had three boys. She stayed home and raised her three boys. After raising her boys, she went to work as a cook at Cardington school where she had worked as a little girl.

Iadell loved to cook for her family. She would lovingly cook up anything the boys brought back from hunting.

She stayed close to her brothers and sisters through the years. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and playing Gin Rummy. She was a devoted Christian and attended The Cardington Church of the Nazarene. She was also a lady's auxiliary member of the American Legion in Cardington.

Iadell loved to have family get togethers. She couldn't wait to have everyone together. Her two favorite gatherings were Easter and Christmas Eve. She would cook for days and have enough food to feed everyone for a week. Anyone who knew Iadell has had her wonderful cookies. The family is greatly missing her.

Left to cherish Iadell's memory are her children: Danny (Debra) Beam of Edison, Dale (Diana) Beam of Powell and Darin (Charlene) Beam of Marengo; seven grandchildren: Jodi Beam, Selena Beam, Dale Beam Jr., Colten (Jessica) Beam, Cayla Beam, Chase (Aleeah) Beam and Remington (Corey) Monhollen; ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, her sister Vivian Owens and three sisters-in-law Carol Carpenter, Betty Thacker and Beaulah Beam.

In addition to her parents, Gladys Irene and Harry L. Carpenter and her husband Willard Earl Beam, Iadell was preceded in death by her grandson John Beam; her siblings; Ruby Mason, Merrill Carpenter, Marietta Ganshorn, Thelma Partlow and Lawrence Carpenter.
