Deanna (Perry) Cox

Deanna Cox, age 82, of Fulton, Ohio died early Saturday morning, September 9, 2023, at Ohio Health Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 14,1940 to Harry and Clara Belle (Roberts) Perry in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

A loving mother and homemaker, Deanna will be remembered for her commitment and dedication to the community as a long-time Fulton Village Council Member, and as a Morrow County 4-H Advisor. Deanna was a devout Catholic woman and willing served the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church for many years as a member of the Women's Host Guild. You would often find her in the kitchen preparing and serving food for the community as part of their annual Christmas Bazaar.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Willis Cox whom she married on June 1, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Deanna and Charles moved to Ohio where they lived and raised their three children, all of whom survive; daughter, Mary Cox, Marion; son, Charles Anthony (Pamela) Cox, Havelock, NC; and daughter, Sheryl (Donald) Goble, Cardington. She was loved and cherished by her 7 grandchildren: 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Deanna is survived by her siblings, Tara (Dale) Gillean, Muskogee, Ok; John (Sharon) Perry, Muskogee, Ok; Jimmy (Gayla) Perry, Bartlesville; and Brenda Fisher, Muskogee, Ok.

In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by her siblings, Clara Mae Mashburn, Gene Perry, Winnie Moffett, and Gail Perry.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Following Mass the burial will take place in the Fulton Cemetery.
