Connie Sue (Huffman) Pryor

Connie Pryor, age 83 of Mount Gilead, OH passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on August 24, 1940, to the late George B. and Thelma R. (Douth) Huffman at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, OH.

Connie was a 1958 graduate of Windsor High School of Stockport, Ohio. She was a school bus driver for a total of 36 years, starting in Chicago, then Gahanna, and retiring from Highland Schools in 1997.

She and husband Larry purchased and rehabilitated many homes where she used her decorating skills. She enjoyed crafting at home. Connie was extremely devoted to her family.

Connie was a very active community volunteer. She was Board President of the Morrow County MRDD Board for 12 years and worked many fundraising events over the time. She had a special passion for helping with the Special Olympics.

On July 12, 1975, in Marengo Connie married Larry Pryor and he survives in Mount Gilead. In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by her children: Lisa (Garrett) Van Cleef of Euclid, OH, Darren (Laurie) Geddes of Delaware, OH, Kristan (John) Burpo of West Point, NY, and Jason Pryor of Mt. Gilead OH; grandchildren, Heidi Van Cleef, Logan Van Cleef, Tara Geddes, Ian Burpo, and Nathan Burpo.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will directly follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kirby Francis officiating.
