Betty Jane (Patten) Tucker

Betty J. Tucker, age 77, of Fulton died at her home on Saturday September 23, 2023. She was born in Galion on July 22, 1946, to the late Francis A. and Pauline M. (Phelps) Patten.

Betty was a 1964 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. She had worked as a Nurse's Assistant at the Community Med Center in Marion. Betty then worked at Marion General Hospital for 17 years in housekeeping.

Betty was a collector of salt and pepper shakers and enjoyed putting puzzles together. Being a social person, Betty never met a stranger. She always looked forward to her gathering with the "1964 Girls". Most of all, Betty loved her family and doted over her grandchildren.

On June 8, 1980, Betty, married Herbert Tucker, Jr., and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2000.

Betty is survived by her three sons; Stephen Tucker of Cardington, Michael (Collie) Tucker of Fulton, and Greggory (Rosemary) Tucker of Caledonia; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Judy Lucas of Marion, and Jo-Ann Jones of Cardington.
In addition to her parents and her husband Herbert, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Patten and sister Phyllis Patten.

Friends may call on Tuesday Sept. 26, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. Betty's Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday Sept. 27 at 11:00AM. The burial will follow in the Fulton Cemetery.
