Barbara Jane (Mutter) Speelman

Barbara Jane Speelman, age 59 of Fulton passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Morrow County Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1964, in Mount Gilead to the late Wallace H. and Letha M. (Hoover) Mutter.

Barbara was a 1982 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School and Tri Rivers for Horticulture. She had worked at Colonial Mannor Nursing Home in Fulton, McDonalds, and most recently was a Bus-Aid.

Barbara loved to crochet and would crochet for hours. She enjoyed watching Court T.V. Jerry Springer and being outside especially being able to go swimming. Barbara cherished spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. She was very family oriented and loved spending as much time with them as she could, especially around Thanksgiving and other holidays.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Julie (James) Jones of Ashley; two grandchildren; Leiland and Amiyah Jones; as well as her sisters Diane Nelson of Virginia and Vickie Speelman of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother David Mutter.

Friends may call on Thursday November 2, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington, with an open time to share memories of Barbara at 5:45 PM. A potluck will follow at the Methodist Church in Cardington.
